  • FAST evaluators undertake evaluations and provide testimony in criminal matters, including:

  • FAST evaluators undertake comprehensive psychological evaluations for examinees in a variety of immigration law settings in both the United States and Canada.

    • Extreme hardship evaluations for inadmissibility waiver applications (e.g., I-601, I-601A, J-1, and I-751 waivers).

    • Non-LPR cancellation of removal.

    • VAWA self-petitions.

    • I-751 waivers based on abuse.

    • U-Visa petitions.

  • FAST evaluators work with defense counsel, plaintiff’s counsel, masked referrals (e.g., the FAST evaluator doesn’t know whether they were hired by plaintiff’s or defense counsel), and/or stipulated agreements (e.g., joint retention by plaintiff’s and defense counsel) to undertake evaluations and provide testimony in a wide range of civil matters, including:

    • Psychological damages.

    • Professional liability/Applicable standard(s) of care.

    • Wrongful death.

    • Retrospective suicide risk factors and warning signs.

Each FAST evaluator has extensive experience with a wide range of psycholegal matters, including criminal, civil, administrative, and immigration law matters. FAST evaluators undergo regular continuing education to ensure that their work aligns with current best practices in forensic assessment.

Local Experts, Worldwide Impact

All FAST evaluators are licensed to practice psychology in Washington State. Many FAST evaluators possess a mobility license through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), which grants Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) and Temporary Authority to Practice (TAP) in a growing number of U.S. states and territories. FAST's reach expands into New Mexico, where Dr. Ashbaugh holds a psychologist license, and British Columbia, Canada, where Dr. McLawsen is a Registered Psychologist.
